The A. Schild 1871 is an open face calibre mechanical watch movement with a pin-lever escapement. It features a coarse imitation of balance screws and a ratchet on the dial side. The back side of the movement is painted in a golden color. The movement includes a hidden crown mechanism with a rocker bar. This particular model, with a diameter of 42.65mm, is a modified version of the Kienzle 46/0a to fit cases for the Kienzle 46/0c. It is unclear why it was labeled as the 46/0B, though the modifications were made before the 3/4 plate was painted, and the necessary threads for the 46/0a are missing. It is likely that further transition variants of this movement exist. The A. Schild 1871 offers stem winding and setting, a sub-second hand, and was most commonly used during the approximate period of 1940.
