The A. Schild 1798 is a mechanical watch movement that features a ball-bearing rotor and a sophisticated excenter self-winding mechanism with just one gear stage. It also includes a stem mechanism without a setting-lever spring and utilizes Diafix combined settings for the escapement wheel. This movement incorporates several functions, including automatic winding, sweep seconds, day and date displays, and a quickset date feature that can be activated by repeatedly pushing the crown. The A. Schild 1798 movement was commonly used around the year 1965.
