The A. Schild 1589 watch movement is an open face calibre movement with a Breguet hairspring. It features a slightly modified train bridge specifically designed for Alpina. The only noticeable difference between the A. Schild 1589 and 245 movements is the variation in alignment-pin diameters. The movement allows for stem winding and setting, as well as a sub-second function. The A. Schild 1589 movement was commonly used around 1925.
