The A. Schild 1512 watch movement, which appeared around 1967, is known as the predecessor of the ETA 2824 movement. It retains the Eterna serial number despite being marketed with the ETA 2824 signature. The movement features automatic winding, sweep seconds, quickset date function, shock protection, and a calendar. It was widely used around 1967.
