The A. Schild 1290 watch movement is a manual wind movement featuring a sub-second display. It is a variant of the A. Schild 1237, 1238, 1245, and 1249 movements, which are known to have a crown mechanism with a rocker bar or a ratchet wheel on the back side. The exact assignment of these variants to the respective numbers is widely unknown. The A. Schild 1290 movement was used during the approximate time period of 1950.
